Kredens Cafe is located in the house - an architectural monument of local significance (oh.№856-M) on Valova Street, 5 in Lviv. The working project of restoration and adaptation was executed for the purpose of redevelopment and expansion of Kredens Cafe at the expense of premises number 1a, which is located on the second floor. Modern building on the Valova Street, 5 was formed in the early XIX century on the bases of 3 buildings from XVIІ century at the walls of the Galician Gate. In the situational plan of the church and monastery of Bernardin since 1622, the Galician Gate is depicted as a defensive structure with external and internal gates, which are united by a corridor.

It is likely that the walls of this corridor were used to build stone houses on sold parcels. The thickness of the wall of the first floor of the house №5 from the street of Valova is 0.82 cm, while from the street Galitskaya - 0.98 meters. The perimeter of the house plan corresponds to the configuration of the planning of the structures of the Galician Gate and the surrounding fortifications. At the beginning of the nineteenth century all three buildings were rebuilt into one three-story building. In 1902, the main entrance and the staircase of the building were moved from Galitskaya Street to Valova Street and the previous main porches were converted to the front shop. During the scientific research, the wall paintings are opened under many layers of paints and plastering. There are interesting plant compositions with the palm trees and berry trees, images of birds and snakes. Human characters are presented in portraiture and plot productions - in caps, hats and boots with pointed noses. The plots and architectural elements of the paintings read the eastern, Chinese style. The paintings are similar to the illustrations of the Marco Polo book, which inspired the famous Jesuit missionary, diplomat, traveler, scientist-botanist from Lviv - Michael-Peter Boim.
